History of Bible Baptist Church

Bible Baptist Church is an independent fundamental Bible Believing Baptist Church.  The Church began in December 1972 as a small group of people with home Bible Studies by Richard Stankey. 

The Church was officially organized as a Baptist Church on September 30, 1973.  The Church held services at the old Carpenter’s Hall located at 1406 South Eighth Street until November 1974 when they purchased property at 1101 Ella Street.  They ministered unto the city of Beatrice in this location until April 1981 as they were in the process of selling the Church property and rented out the United Brotherhood Carpenter’s Union building at Ninth Street and Darwin Street. They stayed in this location until they were able to purchase the Church of the Brethren building located at 1326 Grant Street which has been the permanent location of Bible Baptist Church until this present day. 

Since the conception of the Church Bible Baptist Church has been shepherded in its history by ten Pastor’s with the longest ministries by Greg Oldenettel who pastored the Church for 7 years and Howard Jordan who pastored the Church for 32 years.
